PhotoBlast: Summer Tidbits

at 5:01 PM
Wow, it's been a busy summer.

After the CM conference, I went home for less than a week, then went back up to my parent's for the 4th.

Meet Trigger.

Yummy grilled peaches with sugar and cinnamon for desert.

Mama's awesome salsa.
Mama relaxing in the heat.

Rach and Stephy cooling off.

Familia <3

Typical American BBQ.

Of course, we had to go to the County Fair.

One of my favorite things to look at are the place settings. This year there were many based on books, too cute!

Gabrielle and I decided that this bunny looked like a Furby.

The fair just isn't complete without funnel cakes!

My other favorite thing to look at is the garden exhibits.

And, of course, ducklings! <3
It's really hard not to come home with one when they only cost $7...
...someday, someday...

And then, it was off to Sacramento for the AVID Summer Institute.

They were very friendly to us there.

Since I was nearby, I drove out to Placerville to visit Lizzie. We made some awesome food, and I took some great pictures of her and her neighbor's gardens.

Lizzie saved some green tomatoes for me, and I taught her how to make my favorite food.

Then, we collaborated to create my favorite meal for breakfast.

I came back home, finally, and hit the beach with a friend! Of course, hitting the beach here means wearing sweatshirts and dealing with cloudy grey skies. I finally understand the Californian fashion style of flip flops and hoodies. We still had fun! Especially since we went with a dog and a baby.

And, I absolutely love this photo I took of Ellie at the Salinas Rodeo Parade.

I remember when the ducklings used to only cost $2 to take home. Now THAT was hard to pass up :P!
